Rich McGowan, PCH
Growing up with a deep appreciation and boundless curiosity of nature and the environment, Rich pursued and graduated Delaware Valley College in May of 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Environmental Landscape Design. Upon graduating, Rich worked for an environmental firm located in Scranton , PA. While there Rich created landscape designs to promote wildlife habitat, implemented pre-construction tree preservation plans, and drafted landscape master plans for retirement community campuses.

Seeking career advancement and experience, Rich worked for a prestigious landscape architecture firm in Atlantic City, NJ. Project involvement ranged from casino grounds enhancement, city streetscape development, and inner city to seashore park and playgrounds plans. While residing in Southern New Jersey, Rich was on the Egg Harbor Township Environmental Committee reviewing plans and making recommendations on landscape enhancement. Rich joined the WD Wells team in May 2005 and enjoys sharing his creative passion with clients.
Rich’s professional affiliations include the Rotary Club of Central Chester County, and Associate Member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). Rich is a Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturalist (PCH) and holds a certification by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI). Rich currently is an instructor for the Chester County Adult Night School.
Rich, his wife Tami, their son Ryan and their exceptional shiba inu Zeke, reside in Chester Springs. In his spare time he enjoys bicycling, gardening, renovating their home and time well spent with family and friends.
